Participants will learn how the bookkeeping cycle works from the moment a transaction occurs through documentation, classification, recording, reconciliation, review, and reporting. They will also become familiar with common bookkeeping terminology and learn how to distinguish important bookkeeping issues from details that do not require unnecessary attention.
A major focus of the workshop is avoiding beginner mistakes. Participants will work through common situations involving bank transactions, transfers, credit card payments, personal expenses, duplicate transactions, uncategorized transactions, and unclear transactions.
Through practical examples, guided exercises, and real-world scenarios, participants will develop a reliable framework they can use when approaching everyday bookkeeping tasks.
